Vahan Mane The Sword of Sepia Beauty: w Courage:3 Cunning: 2 (+1) Prowess:4 Strength:2 Wisdom:3 Aspects- Dig Two Graves
- If My Dog Knew My Plans
- None of Us is as Great as All of Us
Reputation: The Deathless LadyKiller Advantage: Born to the Blade *Name Meaning: Age: 5
BIO The House that dwelled in the Mountains, the Manes, had a steady rise in influence in recent years, an influence some found worrisome. In the past the House had been viewed as a simple house of hunters but they had assimilated and familiarized themselves with the ways of higher society once they become part of the Greater House Sepia. Learning to put their skills to better use, they offered their services to merchants and other lesser members of the house as guardsmen on the road leading to a steady income. Rumors spread that house head Alister Mane sought to marry his eldest son, Vahan, to further extend his power. A handsome lad with natural prowess, it would seem easy to marry him off to another of the desirable if-lesser houses and expand. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for others, the war occurred. Whether by intent or not, Vahan was placed in more dangerous situations than others: lone scouting missions and the like. All of which he returned alive from. His performance in the war had earned him a place nearby Lord Sepia. Granted he perhaps also wanted to have the prize Mane nearby him as well. Even if the war had broken him somewhat. Notes*: Have to decide on weakness. Slight chance I may switch advantage to unshakable or true beauty. Yeah I still have to roll age. Unfortunately a tough year for my guy

Remember that a Weakness is a Weakness -- you receive no dice for it, even if it is your House's favored Virtue. Something to consider while choosing your Weakness!

hmm. yeah also debating between the name Atan or Vahan.
Atan from Atanas/Athanasius which means immortal but that would give the reputation a redundancy.
Vahan means shield in Armenian. So I would assume whenever he is trying to protect himself. Or someone?

Protecting yourself or someone else both sounds good -- shield seems like a good name meaning.

Do you have title in Count Sepia's court? That is, are you a proper Lord with lands and servants or perhaps a Ser with a simple title, small plot, and mostly taking care of yourself.
What is your title in Count Sepia's court? Are you simply "The Executioner" or perhaps "The Count's Sword-arm" or "The Count's Hound" or maybe even "Marshall-Protector?"

At this point I believe it would upset others in the court if Vahan were to be made a Lord and I'm not sure if there would be anything warrant it at this juncture. He is still relatively young and he belongs to a relatively powerful family, so it would be Count Sepia giving him and by extension his family more power. At this point he is officially, merely, a knight and that is no small thing. As such he is a simple “Ser” with a simple plot with a page and very, very basic servants attending to needs should he need them. With the exception of his page/squire they are most likely attending to other individuals and not just him. He does occasionally have access to contacts and the like, considering his duty, but they aren’t necessarily under his command or anything of that sort. They may be in a similar position, if not as hands-on. Mostly his accommodations are taken care of. The extras are largely from House Mane and Vahan really isn’t in need of any. Mostly.
Vahan is mostly “just” a knight. This is basically how things are supposed to be. There aren’t supposed to be undesirables in the ideal province. When he has to be called something besides that and he is being called what he it is it is likely the “The Count’s Blade” or on the more romantic side “The Sword of Sepia”. When having to be presented in court, he is known as “High Protector” of the Realm or some bloody crap to make the actions seem all the more justifiable.*
Disparragingly he may be called the Crow. But this is usually done by people with some status or people with a surprisingly lack of fear.
Sadly I couldn't find something that sounded good using the term "Count". I thought he would want something that basically covered up the fact it was potentially "murder" even if it wasn't. I'm assuming at times it is. The Lord's Arm sounded kinda decent. As did "Lord Protector" and "Protector of the Realm" but LP has rl connotations (as does High Protector to some extent; Lord Protector was also used in Dishonored... Protector of the Realm sounds a bit pompous.
As mentioned I figured he would want to cover it in daisies though. [/b]

I think the black looks the coolest. But I can see the subtle appeal of the second.

Well, if we're ignoring the color chart (which is totally fine) the second is really cool. If we're using the chart then the second is neat as a "subdued passion" kind of thing? Passionate but never overwhelmed kind of thing; driven but never broken, right?
