Braeden Adrente is the son of Marcus Adrente, the head of the Adrente household that House Sepia has been at war with. As a child, Braeden was precocious and constantly questioned his father's actions. One day, in a rage, Marcus Adrente took his disciplinary actions on Braeden too far. Young Braeden was left with a permanent limp in his right leg.
Unable to become the knight that his father always wanted to be, Braeden engrossed himself in books and logic. However, his father did not want a cripple to succeed him and employed assassins to stage a robbery gone awry with the goal of leaving Braeden dead and his younger brother as the rightful heir.
Braeden just barely escaped this attempt on his life. He made his way to House Sepia and proved himself loyal against his father by supplying crucial information against the Adrente family. Currently holding the rank of spymaster, he serves the head of House Sepia from the shadows.
