Even down in the Deep Kingdom, there are things that lurk deeper. Things that slip their tendrils out and snare the deep-folk, trapping them with promises. The signs are known, and they are carefully tended to, quickly, trying to prevent anything from cutting into the ocean's world.
There's something about Aidan's air, his way, his actions, that reek of something tainted by powers-beyond-the-shimmer. Colleen was taught the signs, and she thinks she's probably the only one in this dust-walking town who can do something to save him.

Also, I'll toss out there that Monsterhearts, like AW, works best with a policy of open conversation -- so I dunno what you guys are talking about in PMs (and it probably doesn't super matter) but most conversation is welcome to take place right here in the public threads.

Ah I just thought I was getting over-talky. I basically asked jt if there was any ambiguity as to whether the "real" Silas helming the body of reanimated Silas or if there was perhaps potential the Shadow Persona was the one piloting that baby. I asked because I thought the question you asked seemed to open the doorway for that possibility but the background jt wrote made it pretty clear that the soul was intact. |

NPCs:
- Tommy: some loser computer nerd. He's there to do grunt work, weirdo tech stuff if necessary. She's really terrible to him.
- Brit: guitarist in band. If ever Kaitlynn had an actual friend that wasn't just a tool she manipulated, it'd be Brit.
- Elissa: athletic sporty-type. Fucked someone who fucked someone who fucked someone, and long story short, now she's a brainslave. Whatever. She can throw a punch, is what matters.
Colleen saw me gettin' all kinds of intimate with Brit. Kaitlynn is known to pick on bullied gay kids at school, also she's not the "tender, emotional" type, but she was just out there baring her soul, you know? She needed someone to be honest and vulnerable - even if it were her - and who wasn't forced into it through brain-juju. Something REALLY real.
I find Silas threatening. He has no fear.

Colleen is some weirdo, whatever. Kaitlynn's barely noticed her. Or at least, if she's seen her, out there in the waters, she had no idea. It'd take her a while to place her face.
That Bishop guy just unnerves her a little bit. She gets around him, her brainometer starts giving her flashes of pain and blood. She doesn't know what that means. She spread some rumors about him that he got off on charges of murder with a good lawyer but had to move to Florida a few years ago because everyone in his old school hated him because he killed a teacher everyone liked. Really, she just wants people to be as uncomfortable around him as she is.
Fuck that Silas guy. I mean, what can she even say about him? Spread rumors he's creepy? Okay, big deal, he seems to love that shit. He just better keep his distance.

1 dark power, 1 Kaitlynn, 1 Silas
1 dark power, 2 silas
if keith's character has nothing to do with Aidan, maybe we'll go with the second. And Silas has a sorta merc/freak for hire thing going with Aidan .
If keith doesn't have an objection though, we'll go with the first.

When Aidan entered the graveyard it was strange, the world became the way it did when you see spirit. Or at least when they aren’t being casual. It was already cold, but shit became icy and the rain suddenly became silent. And if Aidan’s eyes weren’t already drawn to the crazy cat climbing graving stones, they were now. It was like Silas was Gene Kelly and this was Singing in the Rain except Gene Kelly was a goth and O.K. everything was goth. But it like there was a freaking spotlight on him. Even Nora was confused. It was practically unprecedented for there to be two spirits, entities or whatever to be in the same area at the same time. But then came the slip and the *SNAP* of the neck. As Aidan approached he could see the kid was fucked up and definitely didn't seem to be a spirit. Yet the rain was still silent and there was still that odd focus effect. So he didn't quite know what was happening... Then suddenly the neck readjusted itself and his eyes opened. An odd mist escaped from his lisps and he opened his mouth for air and suddenly the hard rain pouring down could be heard again. {Aidan....saving lives} [also if he bumped his head or something . I'll just get rid of the neck part] |
