I though this week's episode was generally weeker than lasts.
Robb's part really dragged for me.
Most of Jaime's section was good (more the first half). As was the Olenna Tyrell's section.
Thoros' seems like he will be interesting but the intro wasn't as exciting as the promo made it seem it would be.
I'm not a big fan of the male reed. The sister seems cool though.

I'm a big fan of the walking through the woods storyline of Jaime and Brienne less so of the walking through the woods with Bran and the Reeds. Robb's entire storyline is pretty difficult to contain because nobody cares too much about the political intrigue of the north. Yeah Thoros needs to step up his game and start lighting things on fire. Also one of the changes that bug me about the show is that Mance Rayder doesn't have his black cloak from the night's watch. There's a really cool backstory behind it and I wonder if they will bring it up later.

I do find it amazing how affable they manage to make Jaime considering he is basically a sociopath.

also it's funny the commentary in a lot of ways seems more suited to the slaver scene here , since we see the Girl (M--something Meandre?) being more quick on her toes with the translation and Dany taking an interest in her.
In the previous scene we didn't see anything resembling that.

I think it's been odd how they've been handling their female characters recently.
so how about that Hold Steady song?

Yeah I really like The Rains of Castamere better. I was just really surprised to hear The Hold Steady.
Elf Tyrell is really interesting this season because she is really coming out as a player in the game and her dynamics with Cersei are hilarious. I love the actress who plays the queen of thorns. Though I'm not sure what they are doing with Sansa's character. Whether they are making her wary of everyone around her or if she is an active player in the game. I'm just curious as to where they take her character when she is a pawn in three different plays by major characters.

The look between her and Loras was amusing during that one dinner scene. Yeah I'm srurpised at how much I like Olenna Tyrell, I was expecting her to be a rather pompous "Judi Dench" type since it kinda seemed like they were building her up to be as such in the "New Cast" previews. It was a pleasant surprise when she was wasn't.
Sansa's role mainly seems that of the pawn, like obviously she seems coolest with marrying Loras. But she is completely oblivious to her not being interested in her , I think the show made it clear that she wasn't just relieved she wouldn't be marrying someone EVIL and that she thought she would be getting a dreamboat husband. So yeah... I don't think she has picked up on a ton .
I mention that later part, more to reinforce that idea that I don't think she is an active player. Like I think the most she'll done is "Thanks for wishing me well, Littlefinger! I know your my buddy and not some guy who wants to get in my pants (not)!" and that was rather transparent. Maybe we'll be surprised but I kinda doubt it.
The only Stark kid I could kinda imagine doing well in the game , MAYBE, is Bran. Though he would have to have that whole Stark thing be gone with.
Others are either too impulsive, too quick to act, too rash, too righteous fury or too naive.
Sansa = too naive Arya = too impulsive (you pissed me off , PUNK!) Robb = too righteous Jon= probably bit better than others unless Arya could keep her anger under control (she seems to have good instincts). Rickon is Rickon Bran= seems the smartest (granted could be the training), least temperamental and more patient, and if he had his legs would have been a good spy. Lack of legs make him seem like less of a threat. He also has worg vision.
