I think I mentioned before my idea for heraldry being a silver octopus on a purple background - I was thinking Byzantine purple (wiki it!), but other people are free to mock and spit on that. I was following GoT conventions of "one centrepiece over a background" with the idea.
I support alcohol as our speciality, personally.

Nice color. Do you support the color chart I posted a couple pages back? Purple as the color of "I'm here to play?" And the use of Silver and its association with "imagination?"

just go with "off blue" that looks like purple , so we aren't the "theatre kids" simon
edit: also reading the colors...fashion must be very boring. If every region follows that code.
I suppose tailors may become experts in all the various shades.

I assume fashion is cool from combining those colors. Dunno! Feel free to make up new explanations for colors -- that's just some hasty summarizing.

We are totally the theatre kids already, Erik! We have no care for money or warfare, just give us some secrets, rumors, and liquid courage and we'll be just fine.
The colour association stuff seems fine as a loose guideline, I guess? I imagine that it might enter hand-wave space for people wearing House colours, since those guidelines appear to be for fashion, not house sigils.

maybe if it's something ultra high in alcohol level and actually does cause hallucinations if you have too much like absinthe was thought to ;-)
basically if it's an exotic spirit. I would be in support of it.

I'm pro booze.
I like what Erik said about the off blue. With a silver octopus. Works pretty well for our house. Blue is intelligence according to the color chart and silver is imagination. We focus on cleverness and secrets. So with the off blue that looks like purple I picture that as being a darker shade of blue which then speaks to the wit of our house according to the color shenanigans.

Persian Indigo, maybe? Listen I can find colours on Wikipedia all day if I have to, my job is literally devoid of actual work at the moment

Maybe the octopus should be yellow, like some sort of Jaundiced Signifier.
