so since HoTB stuff keeps getting thrown in here? Should we treat our truth like it's in an isolated new world or like it's in keeping with that lore. Or I should say in line with that lore.

I emerge from my Wizard's Den clutching a glowing Orb. Inside it contains a Truth about our lands:
There is a forest where particularly poisonous plants grow, which are both the source of Exceptional Liquors and also the focal point of a burgeoning peasant cult.

how specific or non-specifc? I think I have one-narrowed down since it adds potentially to conflict. But not sure if I should add obvious twist or not.
edit: Is it alright to pm you, alfred or do you prefer discussion in the open :I ?

It's up to you! It could be as specific as Simon's (the lord has no legitimate heir) or open like JTs (we get alcohol from the site of a peasant cult) or even broader (our province borders a harsh desert/bandit camp/cursed Witch-Castle/etc, or We've been at war for 12 seasons).

Our lord has a daughter who has recently come of age and is currently betrothed to a house (that we have been at war with for 12 seasons) in an effort for peace
too much truth?

The thing is she isn't in the line of succession which I assume is the case if he the king has no legitimate heir, then her getting married wouldn't mean shit
BUT her heart is in the right place

More like: our lord's daughter is betrothed to another House, to bring peace between the provinces.
Edit: Snap, is that your fact Erik?

Edit: Snap, is that your fact Erik? no more like how I understand things work in the medieval world based on playing Crusader Kings quite a bit and y'know it makes sense. edit: guess it depends if Salic Law is in-play here or not.

Yeah I was putting this in as a sign of goodwill between houses. Not like an heir thing. The main point of this truth was to add the fact that we were at war with a house and some peace has been met through the agreement of having our lord"s daughter marry into the other house.
