Since things have gone all Dead Zone in here...



Simon and I were talking about this; after I brought up "Kitano" , he thought he might make a good teacher and I agreed. Though we weren't quite sure on what ethnicity he should be other than "not White". He kind of has a few things going for him

• dysfunctional family life (kid despises him despite his best efforts)
  
• prone to displacement (psychology)
  
• tough as nails
  
• respects authority
  
• stoic (arguable) - he doesn't like raising his voice
  
• "Will to Power" type (arguable also)
  

Not sure what he would teach...

alright here we go , it's ADVENTEACHER TIME

Federico Roldán is the teacher who comes into school each day wearing a suit like a professional and expects to be treated like one . The suit is inexpensive, not flashy, the type of suit you might buy at a men's warehouse . It's a suit that some students might make fun for not being a "Designer's Suit", but it is well tailored and fits him well. He carries a defeated expression on his face, almost stoic . A sign of the troubles he carries from home; his daughter doesn't respect him and perhaps even hates him. Federico isn't a materialistic man, all too aware of how quickly such things can be taken away from you. A history teacher who attempts to show children patterns and ,in his view, how things repeat itself. At one point he may have relayed his own personal accounts during the Guatemalan Civil War to illustrate a point and hopefully stimulate interest but he learned that students simply don't give a fuck. . But has long lost faith in most "children" and his peers as well. The latter mostly just see him as a tool to break up fights with his steely demeanor or lack of fear when it comes to dealing with violence.

or does this suggest that Silas knows what Aidan can do? like I can see him figuring out fears of his family members on his own without any powers... and perhaps others but it would be a shitload of work.

Or would he want to use Aidan to propagate an urban legend. The thing with both of these , I don't know if it says too much about the nature of Silas and he wouldn't want to reveal it. Then again, Aidan did see him die .....so cat's sorta out of the bag?

edit: if we did go with "pick and choose" a family member it is sort of having the "make a wish" thing with the dark power and like any person I choose it kinda blows up either way.

Dad- maybe it fucks up his work
Sister- maybe it causes her to go into an insane depression
Mom- kinda similar lines, nervous breakdown
Cousin- maybe he goes creepy kid
Aunt- kills herself (if she is an option)


we could also do fuck with facility and have Aidan go against his alignment in some cases. Or push the stakes further against the Queens gang. :I
