I think our specialty should be champagne.
But like,
Not called champagne because I doubt this will be in the Champagne region of France.
So something Euro-fantastical like,
Effervescent Wine.

Foxwine!
Icefire!
These are alcohols from Houses of the Blooded, if you're interested.

Maybe sparkling wine, so my autocorrect doesn't go haywire every time I try and type it
Also, I was trying to think of a motto that fit the octopus thing, but it's hard to do without coming across a bit weirdly? "Under Every Stone" was meant to convey a kind of "we're everywhere, so don't bother hiding" thing, but maybe not. Grasping/reaching would fit the tentacles stuff, but I guess I was hoping the motto would convey something beyond the secrets and lies we're implying through our aspects.

My character's name will be Sparkling McWinington
He gains a bonus every time he takes a risk involving our regional specialty

"Smarter than we look!"
"Blood Repaid Eight-fold"
Also I tallied up votes and it looks like:
Fog Cannot be Dispelled If My Dog Knew My Secrets Dig Two Graves
Are the winners. The first two got four votes each, but dog two graves got two. So you guys could vote for a third one if two votes isn't impressive enough to y'all.

"Tread Lightly Here" might work? Or, if looking at sea-stuff, "Our Waters Run Deep"?
Listen I am doing my best here

Clearly your specialty is inks/dyes and your motto is "Ink, motherfuckers!"

"Our Blood Runs Deep"- variation and no idea if it makes sense "We Shall Never Falter" "We Are the Shadows in the Dark" doesn't sound evil at all, nope. And it makes perfect sense also. "Never Falter. Never Sunder." redundant munch? "Black as Our Blood" "Black is Our Blood" "Clarity in Darkness" "Brotherhood in Darkness"
can we do what's true about our House first? that might make this part easier...if we know what the deal with our house is in more detail
edit: or I guess "Brothers in Darkness" eh
I think Under every Stone is probably the best.. like I said would probably like to know what we're about

I think most mottoes involving darkness or blackness are too straight-up sinister to really work as a house motto?
Maybe we should determine holdings and truths first, yeah, but I think we're on the right track.

....it was a reference to ink, shrouds, etc.
edit: also potential bastard-dom or some connotation or some such.

I got that, Enrique! Like I said, though, I think they come across a wee bit sinister.
So, holdings - I think it's appropriate for a house of refinement and taste have a Geisha House (Bordello, alternate name? Though that implies it's a sex place, as opposed to a place for refined gentlemen to see beauty and such)
